Fees and Payments

1. How our fees work

1.1 No fee is added for the Business. The Business pays the Specialist's agreed rate: the price shown is the price paid. SOARR earns a platform fee charged to the Specialist, deducted from their payment, plus optional business subscription plans. Both are shown in the app before either party commits.

1.2 Current rates:

1.3 Worked example on the Standard plan, at $85 per hour for 20 hours:

Specialist receives (with a valid ABN)	$1,190.00

If the Specialist gives no valid ABN, the law may require 47% of the total payment for the work ($799.00 in this example) to be withheld and paid to the ATO.

1.4 All amounts are in Australian dollars. SOARR Pty Ltd (ABN 82 696 424 898) is registered for GST. Our plan, Kit and consultation prices are shown plus GST, and the GST-inclusive total is shown before you pay. SOARR issues a tax invoice for its own supplies. The platform fee deducted from a Specialist's payment includes GST and is not increased by it. GST applies to the work itself only where the Specialist is registered for GST.

2. Subscriptions

2.1 Business subscription plans are bought on our website, billed monthly or yearly in advance, and renew automatically until cancelled. We tell you the price, the billing period and how to cancel before you subscribe.

2.2 You may cancel at any time in Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not pro-rate part periods except where the Australian Consumer Law requires it.

2.3 If we offer a purchase through Apple's App Store, that purchase is also subject to Apple's terms, and cancellations and refunds are handled through your Apple account.

2.4 We give at least 30 days' notice before any price increase, and you may cancel before it takes effect.

3. Held payments and payments to Specialists

3.1 The Business pays when work is funded. SOARR holds the payment as the Specialist's payment agent until the Business signs off the work, the work is cancelled, or a dispute is decided. Our platform fee is then deducted and the balance is paid to the Specialist under the payment terms shown at the time of engagement. Held payments are not held on trust or in a separate account unless we tell you otherwise in writing.

3.2 Specialists are independent contractors, responsible for their own tax. Where you give a valid ABN we record it on your remittance. Where you do not, we may be required to withhold 47% of the total payment for the work and pay it to the ATO. Before your first payout we ask for the details the ATO's Sharing Economy Reporting Regime requires (legal name, date of birth, address, phone, email, ABN if you have one, and bank details), and we report payments made to you through the Platform twice a year.

3A. Consultations

3A.1 A consultation is a 45-minute video conference with specialists selected by you, at a flat fee of $220 plus GST ($242 including GST), charged when you book. It is not billed by the hour.

3A.2 The fee is refunded in full if SOARR cannot confirm your requested panel within two business days, or if you cancel more than 24 hours before the scheduled time. Cancellation inside 24 hours forfeits the fee.

4. Refunds and disputes

4.1 Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

4.2 If work is not delivered, or is not of acceptable quality, raise a dispute in the app within 14 days of the work being marked complete. We will review the engagement record and may hold, refund or release the held payment.

4.3 Where we are satisfied that work was not performed, the Business is refunded in full.

5. Cancellations

5.1 An engagement cancelled more than 48 hours before the agreed start incurs no fee.

5.2 Cancelled inside 48 hours, the Specialist is entitled to 50% of the first scheduled day, and our platform fee applies to that amount.

6. NOVON Automation Kits

6.1 NOVON Automation Kits are supplied by SOARR at the fixed prices shown on the Platform plus GST (the total including GST is shown before you pay) under the Automation Services Agreement and its Data Processing Schedule, which the Business accepts when it orders. No platform fee is charged to any party on a Kit. Certified Installers are paid under the Certified Installer Terms.
